José Diogo Cunha
José Diogo Cunha received his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics from the University of Lisbon in 2018. In 2019, he took up a position as a Data Scientist at Perspectum in Oxford, UK, where he automated 3D medical imaging workflows using deep learning until January 2021. He then co-founded an indie game studio, serving as a VR game developer and technical artist until 2023. Since February 2023, he has worked as a Mixed Reality Prototyper and Unity Developer at Meta Reality Labs in Zurich, contributing to MR co-presence research. He joined ROCS in 2025 and currently serves as Technical Team Lead on a project focused on training surgeons in total knee arthroplasty using mixed reality.
