Dr. med. Nicola A. Cavalcanti

After completing his medical degree at the University of Zurich in 2019, Nicola wrote his medical dissertation on complications following first metatarsal ray amputation in diabetic foot infections. Clinically, he completed one year of surgical residency at Spital Männedorf and one year of orthopedic residency at Balgrist University Hospital. From October 2021 to March 2024, he worked as a research assistant in the ROCS team of Prof. Fürnstahl, where he is now pursuing a PhD in robotic ultrasound in orthopedics.
